Stephen Errico is the Controlling Principal and Chief Investment Officer of Locust Wood. Mr. Errico formed Locust Wood in 2002. Before founding Locust Wood, he was a portfolio manager at Morgan Stanley. While at Morgan Stanley, Mr. Errico earned Chairman’s Club recognition and was one of the original members of the Morgan Stanley Custom Portfolio Program, a discretionary portfolio management program. Mr. Errico is an active member of his New Jersey community of Ridgewood and supports multiple charitable and educational organizations. His major initiatives include serving as trustee emeritus of The Valley Hospital Foundation (Ridgewood), and his service to Colgate University, where he is a member of the Board of Trustees. Mr. Errico graduated from Colgate University in 1985 with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics. He attended the London School of Economics in 1984, from which he earned a diploma.
Mr. Spiegelman is a Portfolio Manager & Senior Analyst. Prior to Locust Wood, he worked at H Partners Management as an Investment Analyst from March 2010 to May 2015. While at H Partners he made concentrated investments in distressed credits, special situation equities, and activist targets. Before H Partners, he was a Vice President in the Research division at Morgan Stanley from October 2004 to March 2010, where he covered the Technology sector. Before Morgan Stanley, he was an Economist at The Conference Board from December 2002 to October 2004. Mr. Spiegelman holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and a Master of Science in Management Science and Engineering from Stanford University where he graduated Tau Beta Pi.
Mr. Forsted is a Senior Analyst. Prior to Locust Wood, he worked at Washington Asset Management, as Portfolio Manager from January 2007 to August 2009, and as a Senior Research Analyst from April 2003 to January 2007. Before Washington, he was an Analyst at Falco Capital in Stamford, Connecticut. Mr. Forsted worked as a Senior Financial Analyst at NetZero, Inc. from August 1999 to August 2000, and was a Manager in the Prime Time Sales Planning department at CBS from May 1998 to August 1999. Mr. Forsted holds a Bachelors degree in Communications from the University of Pennsylvania, and an MBA from UCLA.
Mr. Martinson is a Senior Analyst. Prior to Locust Wood, he worked at Morgan Stanley as a Research Sales Associate from July 2009 to September 2013. While at Morgan Stanley, he was responsible for advising institutional investors with a focus on the equity markets. Mr. Martinson graduated magna cum laude and Phi Kappa Phi with a Bachelors of Science in Finance from James Madison University in 2009 and is also a CFA Charterholder®. He currently serves on the Board of Advisors for James Madison University’s “Madison Investment Fund”. He has also been a participant in the iMentor program since 2010.
Mr. Kim is a Junior Analyst. Prior to Locust Wood, he has interned as an equity analyst at long-short equity funds, including Crispin Capital (Jul 2019-Sep t. 2019), Oberon Asset Management (Feb .2018-May 2018), Pleasant Lake Partners (May 2017-Aug 2017), and Powder Gate Capital Management (Feb. 2017-May 2017). Mr. Kim holds a B.S. in Finance and Philosophy from New York University’s Stern School of Business
Mr. Barsanti has 25 years of experience and has spent the majority of his career focused on Global Equity trading. Peter previously worked at HSBC where he was a Managing Director and Head of the Americas Sales & Trading. Prior to HSBC Peter was a Managing Director at Citi where he had roles in sales trading and Equity Capital Markets. He began his career in Equities at Bear Stearns.
Mr. Morris is the Chief Operating Officer and Chief Compliance Officer of Locust Wood. Formerly, Mr. Morris was a Senior Managing Director at Harbert Management Corporation where he ran the Harbert Long/Short Equity Fund, LP from June 2001 to January 2003. From April 2000 to April 2001, Mr. Morris co-founded and co-managed the Buena Vista Fund, a long/short equity fund. Between January 1997 and April 2000 he was a Managing Director and Head of U.S. Equities at Schroders Investment Management. Mr. Morris was a Partner and Portfolio Manager at Weiss, Peck, & Greer from May 1995 to December 1996 where he Co-Managed large/mid-cap equity funds and conducted research within the financial services sector. Between 1984 and May 1995, Mr. Morris worked at Chase Investors/UBS Asset Management where he became a Managing Director and Head of U.S. Equities. Mr. Morris holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Rutgers College and an MBA from Fordham University. He is also a CFA Charterholder.
Mr. Wibbelsman is a part of the Investor Relations team. He is based in Los Angeles and is focused on the Western U.S. Mr. Wibbelsman works for Locust Wood via his wholly owned Broker-Dealer, Triple-A Partners LLC. He holds the FINRA Series 7, 24 and 63. Prior to exclusively representing Locust Wood, Mr. Wibbelsman was engaged in institutional business development for new and established alternative asset firms. Mr. Wibbelsman was also a partner and portfolio manager at Strome Susskind, a Santa Monica based macro, Hedge Fund. Mr. Wibbelsman holds a Bachelors degree from Denison University.
Mr. Pye is a part of the Investor Relations team at Locust Wood. He is based in New York and focuses on covering the retail platforms where our hedge fund Is offered as well as some independent RIAs and Institutions. Prior to joining Locust Wood, Mr. Pye transitioned from Global Equity Sales Trading to Investor Relations at TIG Advisors, LLC. Before transitioning from Sales Trading to Marketing, Chris held several Senior Sales Trading roles at firms including; Deutsche Bank, JPMorgan Securities, and Bear Stearns & Co. He holds a B.A., in Political Science with a concentration in Economics from Ohio Wesleyan University. Mr. Pye is an active member on the Board of Directors for the Carver Center, serving Port Chester, N.Y's underserved children and families.
Ms. Erwin is part of the Investor Relations team. She is based in New York and is focused on internal support. Previously, Ms. Erwin was responsible for the firm’s trading allocation, internal marketing analysis, and back office operations. Prior to joining Locust Wood Capital in 2013, she was a Sales Coordinator at adMarketplace. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Economics with a minor in French, from Lafayette College in 2012.
Ms. Zhao is Locust Wood’s Controller. From December 2003 to 2016, Ms. Zhao was a Fund Accounting Manager and Fund Administrator at SS&C Fund Services. From January 2003 to November 2003, she was a Senior Accountant at American Express, Tax & Business Services, Inc. From 1995-2002, Ms. Zhao was a Manager in Financial Services at Horowitz & Ullman, P.C. CPA. She earned her M.B.A. in Accounting from St. John’s University, and a Bachelor of Medicine from Beijing University of Traditional Chinese Medicine.
Ms. Robles is the assistant to Steve Errico. She joined Locust Wood in 2010. Previously, she spent 25 years at Atlantic Recording Corporation, where she was Director of International Royalties and Director of Accounting for Warner Elektra Atlantic. She holds an Associates degree in Accounting from Baruch College.
Mr. Errico serves as Senior Adviser of Locust Wood Capital. From 1989 to 2002, Mr. Errico was a Senior Vice President of Alliance Capital Management and President of Alliance Fund Distributors, Inc. Prior to joining Alliance, Mr. Errico was Executive Vice President of the Retail Services Division at Prudential-Bache Securities, with whom he was associated for 30 years in a number of key management positions. Mr. Errico is a graduate and Trustee of LeMoyne College served on the Arbitration Panel of the NYSE and was a member of the Marketing Committee of the SIA and the Sales Force Marketing Committee of the ICI.
